Meet Your Host: Jared Sorensen
Jared Sorensen is a third-generation rancher, regenerative ranching coach, and agricultural speaker dedicated to helping farmers and ranchers achieve profitability without sacrificing stewardship. For nearly 30 years, he and his wife Selena have managed their family ranch in Secret Pass and Clover Valley, Nevada, continuing a legacy of faith-driven stewardship while raising nine children and five grandchildren.
In 2022, they founded AgSteward, a coaching and consulting platform equipping producers with tools for long-term success. Through summits, workshops, and the Profitable Steward Podcast, Jared has trained and mentored over 1,000 producers worldwide.

Dr. David M. Kohl is a world-renowned agricultural economist and Professor Emeritus at Virginia Tech, where he taught over 10,000 students and earned 11 major teaching awards plus 25 Extension and Public Service honors. He is a two-time recipient of the American Agricultural Economics Association’s Outstanding Teaching Award and member of the Virginia Tech College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Hall of Fame. Dr. Kohl received the Governor’s Award for Distinguished Service to Virginia Agriculture. He helped establish national and international farm financial standards, shaping how producers and lenders manage agricultural business information.
