Meet Your Host: Jared Sorensen
Jared and Selena have been married for 28 years and are the parents of nine children and four grandchildren. They are 3rd generation ranchers, managing the operation Jared’s grandfather and father built in Secret Pass and Clover Valley, Nevada. Jared is a life-long learner and has been applying and teaching principles of holistic management, soil regeneration, and personal development. Jared has mentored many young people seeking to get a start in agriculture. The Sorensens raise and market grass-fed beef, teach onsite and virtual classes and offer internships on the ranch.

RAY ARCHULETA
He is a Certified Professional Soil Scientist and a nationally recognized leader in regenerative agriculture, featured in the documentaries Kiss the Ground and Common Ground.
With over 30 years of experience at the USDA-NRCS, he served as a Soil Conservationist and Agronomist across several states, promoting soil health and water quality.
Ray holds degrees in Livestock Science and Agricultural Biology, and spent two years in the Peace Corps in Guatemala as a Livestock Specialist. He is the founder of Understanding Ag, LLC and the Soil Health Academy, where he teaches biomimicry and agroecology to farmers across the country.
Ray lives and farms with his family on 155 acres in Missouri, putting regenerative principles into daily practice.
